This one, known as the Cleveland Ledge Light, sits out in the middle of Buzzards Bay and has been guiding ships into the Cape Cod Canal since the early 1940's. The Federal government has deemed it unnecessary and it is being offered, for free, to any eligible entity (historical group, government, etc), but it will be auctioned off to the highest bidder if none step forward soon.
