There are many smaller homes and cottages on the Outer Cape that are crying for updated kitchens. Often the smallness of the kitchens make doing serious updates nearly impossible. As a Realtor, I've learned that kitchens sell homes, so the kitchen needs to look good.

The Death of Stainless - What's Next?

As a Realtor I see a lot of kitchens. Ignoring the occasional Harvest Gold and the older Coppertone appliances, the majority of the kitchens have either white or stainless steel appliances. The newer kitchens seem to tend toward the stainless.  Well, the reign of stainless seems to be coming to an end. That begs the question of 'what's next'? Surprisingly, white may be making a comeback, but the appliance makers have a variety of thoughts here.

Kitchens Sell Homes - Not A Surprise

More times than not, when I show a home the most important room in the house is the kitchen. Two reasons - 1) it's generally the focal point for family living, and 2) it's a room that reflects real potential future costs. Additionally, the kitchen is often what separates a summer cottage from a year-round home. Simply put, the kitchen can make or break a sale.
