Most of the upper East Coast suffered yesterday from the "Snowfall of the Century - Part 2". Not here - we received about 3/4 inch of slush. This afternoon we had bright sunshine. On my drive to Wellfleet I was taken by the Wellfleet fire tower and how it looked against the very blue sky. A few facts:- Built originally in 1927, rebuilt in 1960
- At a cost of $2000
- It's 68 ft tall and sits at an elevation of 50 ft.
- Still classified as an active tower
