The Pilgrim Memorial Monument was dedicated in 1910 to commemorate the landing of the Mayflower in Provincetown Harbor and the signing of the Mayflower Compact. The Compact was America's first democratic constitutional document assuring equality and justice for everyone.
This week, on August 5th, they will be re-dedicate the tower. There will be a full day of activities, starting with a parade, the re-dedication, a concert and fireworks. Check out the day on the Monument's website.
